How to unlock hidden themes in Windows 7

What’s up people, today I’m going to show you how you can unlock some hidden themes in Windows 7. There are some themes other than the ones you normally see in the ‘personalize’. You have to unlock them if you want to use them. Here’s how you do it…

Go to your Start menu and click on computer (My Computer) and go to the drive where your Windows OS is installed.

Click on ‘Organize’ on the top left corner of the window and click on ‘Folder and search options’. Then go to the View tab and make sure that ‘Show hidden files, folders and drives’ is selected. Then click ‘Apply’ and ‘Ok’.

Now you will have to navigate to a folder. So, go to the address bar and type in \Windows\globalization\MCT

The folders in there are the themes that you can activate. These themes represent different countries. To activate them, open any theme folder and open the folder called ‘Themes’. And double click the file you see.

Now you have activated and applied the theme. Do the same with all 5 and all of them will be available in ‘Personalize’ like other normal themes and you won’t have to navigate to the folder again.

How to change a 4:3 video to 16:9 in Sony Vegas.

Today I’m going to show you how you can change a 4:3 video to 16:9 in Sony Vegas. Because you know, widescreen looks cool. There are two ways of doing it and both have their own benefits and consequences. By the first method, you will be able to change the video to widescreen but you will have to lose a small part of the frame from top or bottom. And by the second method, you will not lose any part of the fame but your video will be little bit stretched.

I’m going to show you both the methods. Here’s the first one…

Open up your Vegas and make sure you have a 16:9 project selected in project properties.
Drag and drop your 4:3 video into Vegas and click on the little ‘Event pan/crop’ icon on the video track.

You’ll see a new window, just drag and drop the video from top and bottom in the new window till you get a widescreen 16:9 video. Now you can render the video.

Here’s the second method…
If you cannot afford to lose any part of the video frame, then just right click on the video track and go to properties and uncheck ‘Maintain aspect ratio’ and you’ll get a widescreen video straight away. But remember that your video will be stretched.

After that, you can render the video to your preferred settings.
