Introduction to PhotoScape - The Freeware Photo Editing Software

What’s up people, today I’m gonna show you a freeware image editing software called PhotoScape. It is one of the better freeware photo editing software. It is capable of doing simple stuff like cropping, adding text, etc. as well as pro stuff like color correction, etc. So, just search it up on Google and  install it. It is freeware and easily available for everyone. Here are some of the important features of PhotoScape.

There are four tabs viz. Home, Object, Crop and Tools. First of all, we’ll take a look at the Home tab. It has simple stuff like frames, effects, etc. as well as other things like sharpness, brightness, backlight and color curves which can help in color correction and overall improvement of the image quality.

Second tab is called ‘Object’. Main purpose of this tab is to add text. You can click on ‘T’ button to add text and then decide the size, font, color, etc. Another cool feature in this tab is adding animated characters.

Third tab is all about cropping. There’s free crop which lets you crop any size and then you have some ratios that which help you crop in right proportion.

Fourth tab has some cool features like mole removal, red eye correction, blur, paint brush, clone stamp, etc. Mole removal gives a clear skin, red eye corrector corrects the red eyes and blur helps you blur out anything from an image.
PhotoScape has a lot of features that you can use by downloading the software.

How to speed up or slow down a video in Sony Vegas

What’s up people, today I’m gonna show you how you can speed up or slow down a video in Sony Vegas. It is one of the easier things to do.

Just drag and drop (open) the video that you want to work on and take your cursor to the edge of the video track. You will see a two sided black arrow.

After that, press control on your keyboard and you will see a zigzag line under the arrow. What the zigzag line means is that if you keep the control button pressed and drag the video to right, it will slow it down and if you drag it to left, it will speed it up.
So, to speed it up or slow it down, just keep the control button pressed, left click on the mouse and drag the video to right if you want to slow it down and to the left if you want to speed it up. Press play to check the speed.

Now, if you only want to speed up or slow down a small part of the video, just split the video into parts by clicking on the point where you want to split and pressing ‘S’ on your keyboard. After that stretch or shrink the part you want like mentioned above and in the end, join all parts.

After that, you can render the video if your project is complete.

How to blur out the background of the photo in Photoshop

What’s up people, today I’m gonna show you how you can blur out the background of a photo in Photoshop to give it a professional look.
Open up your Photoshop and drag and drop (or open) your photo.

Grab your quick selection tool and start selecting the background or foreground (object you want in focus).

Pay attention to the plus and minus signs on the top. Make sure that plus sign is selected.

Now here’s the thing. You have to select the background in order to blur it out. But in most of the cases, foreground (object in focus) is easier to select than the background. If that happens to be your case, just select the foreground first, then right click on the selection and click ‘Select inverse’. That will select the background for you.

Once you have the area you want to blur selected, click on refine edge icon on the top and increase the smoothness a little bit and click OK.

After that, go to ‘Filters’ option on top and navigate to ‘Blur’ and finally ‘Lens Blur’

Now a new window will pop up showing you all the settings and their effect. Adjust the ‘Radius’ to a position where you feel your photo looks natural. Remember that too much blur will make your photo look artificial and unreal. You can play around with some other settings to but not too much.

After that, click ‘OK’ and it will apply the effect on your picture. After that you can save your photo.
